SENATOR MANNING? Chelsea Manning Releases APOCALYPTIC Campaign Video

Chelsea Manning officially announced the former soldier’s bid for the United States Senate this week, releasing an apocalyptic campaign advertisement that highlighted the chaos that plagued Charlottesville, Virginia last year, saying we live in times of “fear, suppression, and hate.”

The transgender, left-leaning ex-soldier confirmed the run for Maryland’s Senate seat on Monday, posting the strange footage on social media that states America “needs someone willing to fight” for Democratic principles.

“We live in trying times. Times of fear, of suppression, of hate.  We don’t need more or better leaders.  We need someone willing to fight,” said Manning. “We need to stop asking them to give us our rights. They won’t support us, they won’t compromise. We need to stop suspecting that our systems will somehow fix themselves. We need to actually take the reins of power from them.”

“We don’t need them anymore, we can do better. You’re damn right we got this,” Manning added.

The former soldier, born Bradley Manning, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for releasing highly-classified military documents without permission, but was prematurely released by President Barack Obama in his final hours in office.

“Chelsea Manning is somebody who accepted responsibility for the crimes she committed,” said an Obama spokesperson in January 2017. “The president’s concern was rooted in the fact that the sentence handed down is longer than sentences given to other individuals who committed comparable crimes.”
