The suspect in a Helena double murder case is being held without bond. John Peyton Scott III made his first court appearance Tuesday morning, a day after his arrest in St. Augustine, Fla. Scott is suspected of killing his girlfriend, Sharon Whited, and her father, Chuck Tarwater. The victims' bodies were found January 19 in their Helena home. Scott was captured after being on the run for five days.
