Rebecca Pennington of Adger and her boyfriend were drinking alcohol when they got into an argument. The 35 year old man left the house. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says Pennington got worried about him, and drove around searching for him. Deputies say she saw him walking along Johns Road, but hit him with her car when she was not able to stop in time. He is hospitalized with critical injuries. Pennington was arrested at the scene for being under the influence of alcohol. She is behind bars in the Jefferson County jail on $21,000 bond.
