New information in the drug case against Lipscomb's police chief was revealed Wednesday. Authorities say a search of Brian "Scott" Martin's Odenville home last Friday turned up marijuana and drug paraphernalia, located under a sink in the master bedroom. An additional quantity of marijuana was found under the gun safe in his patrol car, State Bureau of Investigation agents said. Martin initially denied any knowledge of illegal narcotics in the residence, but later admitted knowing about marijuana on the premises, agents said. But Martin denied any knowledge of drugs or paraphernalia in the patrol car, investigators said. Martin, 37, and Crystal Lynn Tindle, 32, are charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Martin is free on $1,500 bond.
