$19,000 worth of extrication tools are donated to the Fultondale Fire Department by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. Officials say with a small town budget, the donation of equipment means a lot not only to their fire personnel, but to police. They can use the equipment when responding to crashes on nearby Interstate 65 and in the city. The restaurant chain uses a portion of their proceeds from each sub sold for their foundation to provide equipment and educational programs for first responders and public safety organizations.
