A deadly shooting was under investigation in Hoover, police said. A man was gunned down Thursday at approximately 2:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Nine90 Apartments, on Wisteria Place. An argument preceded the shooting, witnesses told investigators. They say the victim retrieved a gun from his vehicle shortly before he was shot. Police interviewed the man suspected of firing the fatal shot, and released him after consulting with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office. The investigation is ongoing.
