Gov. Kay Ivey Friday signed a bill addressing transgender athletes in youth sports. The measure prohibits biological males from participating on a female team, and vice versa. Democrat opponents said the bill amounts to discrimination. But Republican supporters say it will protect girls from unfair competition.
