Ivey Orders Shakeup

Gov. Kay Ivey Thursday ordered a major shakeup in her office.  Ivey fired Press Secretary Eileen Jones, the acting secretary of the Office of Information Technology Joanna Hale, and Senior Services commissioner Neal Morrison.     Two staff members also were dismissed.   In addition,  Alabama EMA director Art Faulkner announced his retirement.  All but Jones were Bentley holdovers.   In a statement, Ivey said she was thankful for the staff members who stayed on to help with the transition.    The staff changes were seen as a sign Ivey is preparing to run for a full term as governor.    She assumed the office earlier this year, following the resignation of disgraced former Gov. Robert Bentley.
