Helicopter Linked to Marijuana Eradication Effort

Reports of a low-flying helicopter in Vestavia Hills are linked to an ongoing marijuana eradication effort.   The Vestavia Hills police department and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency have been conducting aerial inspections for marijuana plants, especially in areas along the Cahaba River.   "Marijuana has a distinct appearance, you can see it from the air," Vestavia police Lt. Brian Gilham explained.   "So far they haven't found any."
