All 12 inmates who escaped the Walker County Jail on Sunday have now been recaptured, authorities said. The final inmate on the lam, 24-year old Brady Kilpatrick, was captured Tuesday in Tequesta, Florida. Investigators say the inmates fooled an inexperienced jailer by smearing peanut butter to change the number over a door, fooling the jailer into thinking it was a cell door, when in reality it was a door that led outside. When the jailer opened the door, the inmates bolted. Authorities apprehended Kilpatrick at a home, along with Hayden Mayberry of Jasper, and an 18-year-old from Cordova. The pair will be charged with helping Kilpatrick.
