An 18-wheeler hauling cattle Wednesday overturned at Dead Man's Curve in Birmingham, shutting down the westbound lanes of I-20 for hours. Authorities said approximately 45 head of cattle were being transported. Some of the animals were killed, the fire department said. Others were being off-loaded. The wreck caused delays on I-20 westbound during the evening rush.
