Hewitt-Trussville Students Take Stand for Prayer

Defying objections from an out-of-state atheist group, students at Hewitt-Trussville High School Friday night stood and prayed before the school's football game.   It was the first game since the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation sent a letter to the school system, demanding an end to the long-running tradition.   But the school's pre-game format remained unchanged Friday night.   A student began leading a prayer over the loudspeaker, with many students joning in.
