Deadly Shootout at Western Hills Mall

A shootout Thursday at Western Hills Mall claimed the life of the mall manager, Fairfield police said.  Two groups opened fire on each other in front of the mall, around 2:30 p.m.   The mall manager was killed in the crossfire when he came outside to investigate, police said.  The suspects drove off, say investigators, but continued shooting at each other along I-59/20.   A driver, not connected with either group, was found suffering a graze wound on the northbound side of the interstate near the Arkadelphia Road exit.   Police arrested four suspects.
