Some Vestavia Hills High School students took a stand for the Second Amendment during Wednesday's national walkout to protest gun violence in schools. A group of students gathered outside the school holding signs with pro-gun rights slogans, including: "Second Amendment Protects," "Guns Don't Kill, People Kill," and "Ban Idiots, Not Guns." Another sign read "Arm Our Teachers." A state House committee Wednesday heard testimony on a bill authorizing teachers and administrators who get police training to carry a pistol on school property. A vote could come Thursday.
