A tuition increase is coming to UAB. The board of trustees Friday approved a 2.9 percent hike. That is about $120 per semester. The board also approved a 4 percent increase for out-of-state students at the University of Alabama. That adds up to an extra $565 per semester. Tuition for in-state UA students is unchanged. At UAH, all students will see a 4 percent tuition hike. The new rates take effect with the fall semester.
