Denorris Rishard Barnes lost his life when he was shot while changing a tire on Bessemer road early this morning according to the Birmingham Police Department.
Witnesses stated that Barnes had pulled into the Marathon gas station to change the tire when shots rang out.
At this time the shooter remains at large.
