Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust

A man was stopped on Center Point Parkway for not wearing his seat belt. As Jefferson County deputies were talking to Anthony Ray Jenkins...they saw a prescription pill bottle on the floor of the vehicle.

He claimed the hydrocodone pills belonged to his aunt..who must have forgotten them, but a call to the aunt proved otherwise. When deputies searched the car..they found marijuana, heroin and digital scales. Jenkins now faces trafficking and possession charges. The Center Point man is behind bars on more than $100,000 bond.
