A disgraced former lawmaker Thursday wrapped up two days of testimony at a corruption trial in Birmingham federal court. Oliver Robinson took the witness stand to testify against the men accused of bribing him. Prosecutors say a Drummond coal company executive bribed the Democrat through two Balch and Bingham lawyers, as part of an alleged scheme to get Robinson to oppose the expansion of a pollution cleanup in his district. Robinson, who has pleaded guilty, admitting lying to his wife during the commission of his crimes, and selling out his community.
