Teenager Dies Following Tarrant Shooting

A 16-year old boy died Monday, a day after a shooting in Tarrant, the police said.   The victim, whose name was not released, was shot in the chest while sitting in a car parked in the 1100 block of Alabama Street late Sunday afternoon.  The assailant walked up to the car, and began arguing with the victim before firing the fatal shot, Police Chief Dennis Reno said.   He did not identify the suspect late Monday, because charges were still pending.   The shooting happened just hours after 16-year old Arrielle Lashawn Parker-Jefferies, a Wenonah High School student, was killed in a drive-by shooting on Westwood Drive in Birmingham.   Investigators said the girl was in a car, when a dark-colored vehicle rolled by, and somebody inside opened fire.   There have been no arrests.
