Palmer: Sessions Should be "More Aggressive"

Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover), a supporter of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Tuesday expressed misgivings about his handling of the Russia investigation.  Appearing on WERC's "Alabama's Morning News," Palmer faulted Sessions for his deferential approach to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.  "I would like to see [Sessions] be a little more aggressive in some areas, particularly in dealing with Rosenstein."  When pressed about why Sessions has consistently defended the controversial Justice Department official, Palmer responded, "[Sessions] must see something there that the rest of us don't."  President Trump's supporters have expressed growing frustration with Sessions for his hands-off approach to the investigation, which Mr. Trump has blasted as a "witch hunt."
