An update on the possible alligator sighting at Hoover's Veterans Park. Police say Animal Control and professional trappers completed an exhaustive search of both lakes at the park. They did not find any evidence of an alligator in, or around, either lake. Police urge caution when around water and wildlife. A visitor to the park snapped a picture of what appeared to be an alligator in one of the park's lakes. An expert consulted by police said the animal was likely a soft shell turtle.
