Police say Sheila Britton died at DCH Regional after she was injured trying to stop two men who stole beer from the Shell Food Mart on Skyland Boulevard on Saturday. Police say the men dragged Britton across the parking lot as she grabbed hold of the car door, trying to stop them. That caused a severe head injury. Dewan Latrell Hampton and Michael Wayne Burrell are charged with robbery, and now murder. Hampton is in jail, but officers are still looking for Burrell.
