There is a contractor shortage in Shelby County. Officials say they have numerous projects to complete, but not enough skilled workers to do them. Experts say numerous contractors had to close their businesses during the recession. But now, the economy is booming. Shelby County leaders say in their rapidly growing area, there is plenty of work to be had. They add this shortage may slow their efforts, but no projects will be canceled.
