Ivey Declares State of Emergency

Gov. Kay Ivey Monday declared a state of emergency ahead of Hurricane Michael.    The declaration activates the state's emergency operations plan.   The governor says the state is prepared.   She's urging residents in south Alabama to review their emergency plans.   The  National Hurricane Center forecasts landfall along the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday, possibly as a Category 3 storm.
