Jefferson County sheriff's deputies are now equipped with body cameras. Sheriff Mike Hale says the cameras will help investigators. "Whether it's been a serious arrest, whether it's a shooting incident, it's gonna give us a front row seat of what the citizen saw, and what the deputy sheriff saw," Hale said. In most cases, Hale said the cameras will show deputies acted appropriately. If a mistake is made, Hale added, the video can be used for corrective training.
