OSHA Levels Fines After A Worker Dies on the Job

Legend Directional Services LLC was cited for improper storage of compressed gases in connection with an explosion in May on Highway 280 in Harpersville. A crew member from Mississippi, Christopher Anderson was killed while assisting with installing a gas line. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration says flammable welding gases were stored in a container that was not ventilated. So, when Anderson opened the door, an explosion occurred and Anderson was killed. The company faces more than 28 thousand dollars in fines.
