Mac McCutcheon (R-Monrovia) Tuesday was nominated for another term as Speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives. Republican lawmakers, who hold 77 of the chamber's 105 seats, unanimously chose McCutcheon, virtually assuring that he gets the job when the Legislature convenes in January. "If elected during the organizational session in January, I will continue presiding in a manner that gives all members of both parties a voice in the legislative process," McCutcheon said. "Our state faces many challenges, and finding needed solutions will require all of us to work together."
