Possible Pay Increase for Hoover Police

The Hoover City Council is considering changing the rules for overtime pay for police officers. Right now, hourly cops only get time and a half after reaching 43 hours in one week. Mayor Frank Brocato has asked the council to change that to 40 hours. He says that way, Hoover police would be on par with other city employees. In addition, he says it will help the officers reach their retirement threshold faster.
