ALEA investigates Shooting at the Galleria

Police in Hoover are offering what information they can in the case of a 21 year old man shot and killed by police at the Galleria on Thanksgiving night. 21 year old Emantic Bradford Jr of Hueytown was mistaken for a suspect who had shot two people. That gunman is still at large. The injured people were an 18 year old man and 12 year old girl. Police say they are certain Bradford brandished a gun during the seconds following the gunshots in the fight. They say that instantly heightened the "sense of threat" to approaching police officers responding to the chaotic scene. They say body camera video was given to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, who is leading the investigation. The department offering their condolences to the Bradford family, who has hired a lawyer. Protesters are expected at the Hoover police department tonight.
