Hoover Braces for Lawsuit Following Shooting

The Hoover City Council Tuesday met to discuss an expected lawsuit from the family of a man killed by police at the Galleria.  Emantic "EJ" Bradford Jr., 21, was shot and killed by a policeman Thanksgiving night, after a shooting that injured two people on the mall's second level, in front of the Footaction shoe store.  Police have said Bradford had a gun in his hand when confronted by the officer, but later determined the shots were fired by another man, who remains at large.    Councilmen declined comment following the executive session, citing attorney-client privilege.
