An apparently random shooting targeted a car in Homewood, police said. The vehicle had just turned off Lakeshore, and was on the ramp for I-65, when another car drove up, and somebody inside opened fire. The targeted car was strafed by gunfire, but no injuries were reported. The victims say the gunfire came from a black or gray Nissan Altima. Police are trying to determine if the shooting is linked to a pair of similar incidents last week. A man was killed following a shooting targeting a car on Parkway East, and a teenager was grazed by a bullet while riding in a vehicle along Old Springville Road.
