Ocasio-Cortez Laments Alabama Ringworm Cases

New York's socialist congresswoman, Democrat Alexandria Ocasio Cortez,  invoked ringworm in Alabama, while arguing for wealth redistribution.  "A system that allows billionaires to exist, when there are parts of Alabama where people are still getting ringworm, because they don't have access to public health, is wrong," Ocasio-Cortez said at a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event in New York City.  But experts say ringworm, a common fungal infection characterized by a red circular rash, generally is spread skin-to-skin, and is unrelated to access to health care.  Ocasio-Cortez also warned that the world would end in 12 years, unless climate change is addressed.
