Trump Signs "Buy American" Order

Employees of a Birmingham company joined President Trump at the White House on Thursday, as he signed an executive order aimed at strengthening "Buy American" rules. The order gives priority to American-made products, including iron and steel, in federally financed infrastructure projects. The President was joined in the Oval Office by employees of McWane subsidiaries M&H Valve and Tyler Union. Judy Harrison with M&H Valve said the company has seen a "tremendous uptick," and thanked the President. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) said the order is a bipartisan, common sense way to help manufacturers and employees.
