Saban to Undergo Hip Replacement Surgery

College Football Playoff National Championship Presented By AT&T - Alabama v Clemson

Alabama football coach Nick Saban goes under the knife next week. Saban will have surgery to replace his right hip. The coach tells USA Today that his only regret is not being able to play golf for the next six weeks. Saban, 67, said his hip started giving him trouble during spring practice, adding that he needs to get it fixed, because he plans on coaching for "a lot more years." Dr. Lyle Cain of Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham will perform the surgery on Monday, the Tuscaloosa News reported.
