A child suffered serious injuries in a dog attack on Friday, authorities said. Jefferson County sheriff's deputies say the 4-year old boy was sitting with the dog in a truck outside a Palmerdale convenience store, when the animal suddenly turned on him. The child's mother and several others were able to pull the dog off the boy, who was airlifted to Children's Hospital. Animal control took the dog into custody.
