Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions is reportedly going to run for his old Senate seat. Sessions is expected to announce his bid on Fox News's "Tucker Carson Tonight" program on Thursday night. The Mobile Republican faces the all-but-certain opposition of President Trump, who repeatedly and strongly criticized Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia investigation. Sessions also faces a crowded GOP primary field, that includes former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville, Rep. Bradley Byrne, former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, Secretary of State John Merrill, and state Rep. Arnold Mooney (R-Indian Springs Village).
