If you haven't received your $1,200 coronavirus stimulus check from the federal government, you have until noon eastern time on Wednesday (May 13) to submit your bank account information to the IRS if you want the funds deposited into your bank account.
If you still need to submit your account information to the IRS, you can do it online using the agency's "Get My Payment" tool.
"We're working hard to get more payments quickly to taxpayers," IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig said in a statement. "We want people to visit Get My Payment before the noon Wednesday deadline so they can provide their direct deposit information. Time is running out for a chance to get these payments several weeks earlier through direct deposit."
If you fail to submit the information by the deadline, you will have to wait for the Bureau of Fiscal Services (BFS) to mail you a check, which could take at least a month.
"After noon Wednesday, the IRS will begin preparing millions of files to send to BFS for paper checks that will begin arriving through late May and into June," the IRS said.
The IRS has already sent out more than $200 billion in stimulus payments to 130 million Americans.
