Alabama Joins Election Challenge

Alabama is joining Texas's challenge of the presidential election results in four states. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall on Wednesday said the state is filing a friend-of-the-court brief, calling on the U.S. Supreme Court to take up the case "given the important questions it raises regarding election integrity." Texas sued Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, charging officials with flooding regions with unlawful ballot applications along with ignoring legal requirements on how they were received. President Trump called the case "the big one," and filed a motion asking the high court to either allow state legislatures to decide the apportionment of Electoral College votes, or issue an order blocking the four states from participating in the Electoral College.
