Tuberville Supports Election Challenge

Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) on Wednesday pledged support for Rep. Mo Brooks' (R-Huntsville) plan to challenge the results of the presidential election. "Oh yeah," said Tuberville, when asked if he would support Brooks' objection. "We want to do anything we possibly can to help the president." Tuberville spoke on "Alabama's Morning News with JT" heard over NewsRadio 105.5 WERC. "[Trump]'s fighting them hard, and he needs people to help him, so I've been looking forward to just sitting down with Mo Brooks, and seeing where I could help." Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell warned Republican senators Tuesday during a private meeting not to object to the election results during a joint session set for Jan. 6. But Tuberville said he's not worried about running afoul of McConnell. "I fought politics all my life, and I'm not shying away from any fight, that's the reason I ran for this job."
