Due to the severe weather threat for Wednesday, March 17 several school systems are making changes to their schedules and operations.
Wednesday, March 17:
Alabaster City Schools dismissing three hours early Wednesday
Alice Christian Academy closing at 1 p.m.
Attalla City Schools will be closed
Banks Academy closed
Bessemer Academy pre-school closing at noon, Bessemer Academy Middle & High school closing at 12:30
Bessemer City Schools will be closed
Bevill State Community College virtual
Birmingham City Schools will be virtual, campuses closed
Blount County Schools virtual
Brooklane Baptist Academy closing at noon
Calvary Resurrection Christian Academy closing at noon
Chilton County Schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.
Coosa Valley Academy closed
Cullman County School campuses will be closed
Cullman City Schools will operate remotely. Employees will work remotely, county students were not scheduled to be on campus Wednesday because they are still under a virtual model.
Etowah County Schools will be closed
Fairfield City Schools closed
Gadsden City Schools closed
Gadsden State Community College closing at noon
Glad Tidings Christian Academy closed
Glen Iris Baptist School closed
Grace Tabernacle service canceled
Greater Birmingham Humane Society closed
Homewood Schools closing at 1 p.m.
Hoover City Schools will dismiss early on Wednesday. Elementary Schools will dismiss at 11:15. Brock’s Gap Intermediate will dismiss at 11:30. Middle Schools will dismiss at 11:45. High Schools will dismiss at noon.

Chilton County Schools - Students will be on 2-hour delay on Thursday. Employees will report to school at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Oneonta City Schools - 2-hour delay
