Search for Victims, Following Birmingham Policeman's Arrest

Birmingham police are looking for more possible victims, after an officer was arrested and charged with rape. Officer Matthew Wilcox used popular dating websites to meet women, police chief Patrick Smith said. Wilcox drugged and raped at least one woman, according to investigators. Smith said a search of Wilcox's home turned up narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and firearms. Wilcox, who resigned Tuesday, was being held on $25,000 bond. Smith is encouraging anyone who had contact with Wilcox to come forward, and contact the Special Victims Unit at (205) 297-8413.
