A Warrior policeman was shot and injured Thursday night, authorities said. The officer was gunned down during an investigation into drug sales on McCart Drive, according to Chief Scott Praytor. A person at the scene fired at the officer, hitting him in the torso several times, Praytor said. The officer was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was in stable condition. A suspect was in custody.
