Republican Lynda Blanchard will end her campaign for the U.S. Senate from Alabama, and instead challenge Gov. Kay Ivey, a CNN report claimed Thursday night. The report, citing three people familiar with the matter, said Blanchard would make a formal announcement next week. The Blanchard campaign denied requests for comment, according to the network. Blanchard served as U.S. ambassador to Slovenia during the Trump administration, but the former president endorsed the Senate campaign of Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville).
