Five Alabama football players have entered the transfer portal. The players include backup quarterback Paul Tyson, a Hewitt-Trussville High School grad, and the great-grandson of legendary Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. “I am about to graduate, and I have entered the transfer portal to continue playing football and to continue my education,” Tyson wrote on Twitter. “With the COVID waiver, I will still have three years of eligibility, and I am excited to see what door God opens for me.” Tyson, a Hewitt-Trussville High School grad, thanked Coach Saban and his staff for giving him the chance to play for the Crimson Tide, and be part of winning a national championship, calling it a "lifelong dream." Other players entering the portal, were: tight end Jahleel Billingsley, linebacker Drew Sanders, outside linebacker King Mwikuta and offensive lineman Tommy Brown.
