Tuberville to Vote Against Biden's SCOTUS Nominee

Sen. Tommy Tuberville Wednesday announced he will oppose President Biden's nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown to the Supreme Court. The Republican cited concerns over Jackson's judicial record. "Judge Jackson let those who were convicted of a crime off easy," Tuberville said. "I took the opportunity to ask her about this in our meeting. Judge Jackson's answers ... were thoughtful, but did not relieve my concerns about her sentencing record, particularly her record on sentencing criminals who preyed on young children." Sen. Richard Shelby last week announced his opposition to Jackson. The Senate is expected to vote on Thursday.
