Police Arrest Hueytown Arby's Grease Attack Suspect

A fast-food restaurant manager in Hueytown used hot grease to attack a customer during an argument, police said. Shea Denise Peoples, 50, threw the scalding liquid at a woman customer in the drive-thru lane Saturday, after Peoples "just snapped" during an argument, Police Chief Mike Yarbrough said. The victim, who was identified only as a woman in her 30s, suffered second-degree burns across her body and was taken to UAB Hospital. Peoples was booked at the Jefferson County Jail on a first-degree assault charge, and held on $30,000 bond. Arby's says Peoples was immediately terminated, and called the attack "reprehensible." Attorneys for the victim on Monday announced they will would file a lawsuit against Arby's.
