Alabama lawmakers are speaking out, after President Biden on Wednesday announced plans to forive some federal student loans. Sen. Tommy Tuberville says "working families and Americans who chose to enter the workforce instead of going to college will be the ones to foot the bill." Tuberville says the Biden plan is also "unfair to the millions of students who worked hard to pay off their student loan debt." Congressman Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) says the $300 billion write-off "will make the inflation crisis worse." He called it a "vote buying scheme," which shows "Democrats are not the least bit concerned about the 61 percent of American households now living paycheck-to-paycheck."
