Alabama freshman defensive back Tony Mitchell is suspended from the team until further notice, Coach Nick Saban announced Monday. Mitchell, a top prospect from Alabaster's Thompson High School, was arrested last week on drug charges. "There's no such thing as being in the wrong place at the wrong time," Saban said. "You've got to be responsible for who you're with, who you're around, and what you do." Mitchell and a second man were taken into custody during a traffic stop in Holmes County, Fla. Deputies say they found a significant amount of marijuana in the car, along with scales, a loaded handgun, and a large amount of cash. Mitchell and Christophere Lewis are charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell/ deliver. Lewis is also charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a permit.
