Arrest in Five Points South Mass Shooting

Birmingham police Wednesday announced an arrest in the mass shooting that killed four people and injured more than a dozen others in Five Points South last month. Police identify the suspect as Damien McDaniel, 22, of Fairfield. McDaniel is also suspected of killing two other people in separate shootings. The victims included a woman described as an innocent bystander in a shooting at a bar. In the third shooting, police say McDaniel and others killed a man during a robbery. McDaniel was facing charges that include capital murder.
