The Chicago Bulls are reportedly trading Lonzo Ball to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Isaac Okoro, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Shams Charania on Saturday (June 28).

"BREAKING: The Chicago Bulls are trading Lonzo Ball to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Isaac Okoro, sources tell ESPN," Charania wrote on his X account.

Ball, 27, averaged 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists during the 2024-25 season, his first since suffering a knee injury during the 2021-22 season, which was his first with the Bulls. The former No. 2 overall pick underwent a meniscus and cartilage transplant in his left knee in March 2023 after several failed procedures that kept him out of action.

Ball has averaged 11.4 points, 5.8 assists and 5.5 rebounds during a career that had previously been limited by injuries prior to the 2021-22 season, having spent his first two with the Los Angeles Lakers before being shipped to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the Anthony Davis trade in 2019.

Okoro, 24, was selected by the Cavaliers at No. 5 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft and averaged 8.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists during his five seasons in Cleveland, which includes 6.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists during the 2024-25 season.
